GMC Hummer EV Launch: GMC teases electric Hummer, details revealed | – Times of India

NEW DELHI: GMC teased its upcoming electric pickup truck, Hummer EV, which will be revealed later this year. The new Hummer EV was supposed to be revealed in May 2020, but the plan was scrapped due to the Covid crisis.
The new teaser video released by the automaker revealed a silhouette of the Hummer EV. Along with the silhouette, a few key features of this highly-anticipated electric pickup truck.

GMC claims that the Hummer EV, with its bold design and exceptional capabilities, will change the game in the electrified vehicle space. GMC has been advertising the Hummer EV under the ‘Quiet Revolution’ campaign. It will be sight to see a pickup truck with the traditional performance metrics of GMC paired with the quietness inherent in the operation of an electric vehicle.

As per the new teaser, Hummer EV will be powered by a Ultium battery which will help the SUV generate a power output of 1000 hp and offer a massive peak torque of 15000 Nm. The Hummer EV is also claimed to clock 0-96 kmph in mere 3 seconds. The SUV will also feature the new adrenaline mode and the new crab mode.

The Hummer EV will also feature the new modular sky panels, open air infinity roof and an ultra-vision camera. The SUV will also boast super-fast charging and the next gen SuperCruise feature.
The booking for the Hummer EV is expected to begin right after the reveal, which is planned later this year. However, the Hummer EV will only go into production by the end of 2021.
