“The time for filing of original as well as revised income tax returns for the FY 2018-19 (AY 2019-20) has been extended to July 31, 2020,” it had mentioned.
Further, the CBDT had additionally prolonged the time restrict by a month until July 31, 2020, for making numerous investments for claiming deductions underneath the I-T Act, which incorporates part 80C (LIC, PPF, NSC and so on), 80D (mediclaim), 80G (donations) and so on, for 2019-20.
The Centre had additionally prolonged the deadline for linking biometric Aadhaar with PAN until March 31, 2021.
